The Brody Theatre is excited to bring it's Spring show, "So...What's YOUR Story," a
blend of narrated and live-action stories, to the !nstant improvisation festival. Michael Dempsey, the
Brody's first guest director in four years, has turned the Brody ensemble
into a pack of spontaneous story-telling fiends in these 2-act,
fully-improvised performances.
"So..What's YOUR Story," opens with a group of characters gathered together
for some purpose, until one of them begins to spin a yarn. After the
narrator introduces the tale, it will spring to life onstage as the other
improvisers become the figures in the story and take over the action. But
before that first story is finished, more are added to the mix, either
introduced by other characters in the base scene, or even by characters in
the other stories. The result is a braid of intertwined stories and worlds
unfolding simultaneously, with the action jumping between them .
The cast includes Brad Fortier, Tom Johnson, Todd Greblo, Marilyn Divine,
Kerry Leek, Lisa DiDonato, Nate Halloran and Stephanie Wichmann.
